Recently signed legislation reduces the fee for resident agents seeking to have their license reinstated after being cancelled for nonpayment of fees, failing to comply with continuing education, or failing to pay Wisconsin taxes. Resident agents must reapply within 12 months of the cancellation date by submitting the appropriate application and paying twice the renewal fee ($70). Persons who failed to comply with continuing education requirements must have all previous requirements met prior to submitting an application. Those who failed to pay delinquent taxes must have provided our office with a release from the Department of Revenue.
